Windows 2000サービスを絞り倒す

Windows 2000のサービスで、ほぼ最小構成の状態。下に挙げたもの以外は無効にしている。

Application Management 手動
Background Intellingent Transfer... (BITS) 手動 (自動更新の際に再開)
COM+ Event System 手動
Computer Browser 自動 LANに接続するなら自動
DHCP Client 自動 IPアドレスを決め打ちにしておけば無効でOK
DNS Client 自動 IPアドレスを決め打ちにしておけば無効でOK
Event Log 手動のままにしておく (自動更新の際に再開)
Logical Disk Manager 自動
Logical Disk Manager Administrative Service 手動
Net Logon 「手動」 ドメインに参加する場合は「自動」
Network Connections 自動
Plug & Play 自動
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) 自動
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator 手動
Removable Storage 手動
Security Accounts Manager 手動
Server 「手動」か「自動」
System Event Notification 「手動」
Windows Installer 「手動」
Windows Management Instrumentation 必ず自動
Windows Management Instrumentation Driver Extensions 必ず自動
Workstation LANに接続するなら、Computer Browserを自動にしたうえで手動にしておく。

Windows 2000をセットアップ後、各種アップデートが完了したら不要なサービスを停止している。自動更新をかける場合は自動更新、BITS、Event Logを再開すればいい。
